Trusted Care. Quality Life

At United Medicare Centre (UMC), we are a group of 250 dedicated staff who are passionate about caring for the elderly. From our healthcare professionals to our support service teams, we each have our residents’ best interests at heart, and regard them as family.

We are committed to providing our residents with the highest quality of care, whatever their needs. This is supported by our belief in the delivery of individualised and progressive care.

We also take a holistic view, focusing on physical and mental needs, as well as emotional and social needs. This philosophy guides all that we do, so that we give our residents the care they deserve, and a fulfilling quality of life.

While the needs of our residents are at the core of what we do, their families, caretakers and loved ones are equally important. At UMC, we believe in building and nurturing close partnerships with the families of our residents through constant feedback and conversations. We also provide training to caregivers to equip them to care for their loved ones when they return home.

Model of Care

  • Person-centred

We see each resident as an individual who is unique. We customise a care plan according to each resident’s needs, abilities and preferences.

  • Family involvement

We believe in holistic care. We encourage families to partner us in meeting the many needs of their loved ones to improve their overall well-being.

  • Staying engaged with the community

We recognise the importance of being part of an extended community, despite our residents living apart from it. We welcome the family, friends and community to share their time and enrich the lives of our residents through meaningful interaction.

  • Purposeful and meaningful activities

We engage and motivate our residents to participate in activities that are both enjoyable and meaningful.
